Position: Assistant Resident Engineer
Location: On-site
Experience: +10 years of experience
Contract length: 25 months
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Resident Engineer to join our client team.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing and supervising the construction activities of road and related infrastructure projects.

Review and revise project designs to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.

Monitor and ensure quality control throughout the construction process, ensuring that works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications and industry standards.

Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Manage contract administration in accordance with FIDIC conditions of contract.

Coordinate with local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Prepare and present project progress reports, highlighting any issues, risks, and recommendations for improvement.

Assume full responsibility of the Resident Engineer role in their absence, as formally notified to the Client.
Profile
Mandatory qualifications :
Education :
-
BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
-
Post-graduate qualifications in highway/civil engineering.
Experience:
-
A minimum of 10 years of experience in road design and construction supervision.

Must have served as an Assistant Resident Engineer or Project Manager on at least two (2) road construction projects of similar nature within the last 10 years.

Must be registered with the Tanzanian Engineering Board.

Experienced in contract administration under FIDIC conditions.
